1957 - 1980

Betin Güneş was born in Istanbul / Turkey in 1957 where he began his manifold and comprehensive musical training.

After a successful education at the Conservatory from 1964 to 1974, he passed his concert examination in piano with distinction under Mrs. J. Uluğ at the Academy of Music.

Only one year later he passed his examination in composition under Prof. I. Usmanbaş.

Parallel to his musical training he studied journalism at the University of Istanbul.
